Terms of Service

Reaper (the Bot) and its dashboards. This is a general template, not a substitute for legal advice specific to your server.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Reaper or any of its web dashboards (together, "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What Reaper Does

Reaper is a Discord bot providing moderation (auto-moderation, warning strikes, a mod-log, ban appeals, and optional voice incident reports), leveling/XP with independent message-count tracking, a ticket system, staff applications, giveaways, welcome messages, reaction roles, a starboard, an optional message translator, an optional AI chat assistant, and an embed builder - along with web dashboards for viewing (and, for server staff/admins, configuring) these features. Not every feature is enabled on every server; a server's staff chooses what to turn on.

3. Eligibility

You must comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines when using Reaper. Reaper is provided for use within Discord servers that have added the Bot - it is not a standalone product.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to abuse, exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with Reaper or its dashboards, including attempting to access data or settings you aren't authorized to see, or submitting false/abusive ban appeals, staff applications, or voice reports.

5. Voice Incident Reporting

A server administrator may optionally enable voice incident reporting. While it is enabled, Reaper may join populated voice channels and keep a short rolling audio buffer in memory. Audio is saved only when a member in the monitored channel submits a voice report; the saved report can include audio from shortly before and after the report, participant and channel details, and report context. The server's configured reviewers can then use that report for moderation and safety purposes.

Voice auto-moderation is a separate, optional setting. If a server administrator explicitly enables it, Reaper uses a locally hosted speech-recognition model to examine short, per-speaker audio windows for terms configured by that server. Depending on the administrator's selected mode, a sufficiently confident match can alert reviewers or automatically apply a Discord timeout. Automated transcription can be inaccurate, so server staff remain responsible for reviewing evidence and handling appeals or corrections.

Server operators are responsible for giving members clear notice before enabling voice monitoring, obtaining any consent required by applicable law, and using reports only for legitimate moderation or safety purposes. Reaper's setup notice does not replace those obligations. You may not use this feature for covert surveillance, harassment, or unauthorized disclosure of another person's communications.

6. Reaper Premium & Billing

Some features are gated behind Reaper Premium, an optional paid per-server subscription. Subscribing and managing an existing subscription (updating a payment method, canceling) happens entirely through Stripe's own hosted Checkout and Billing Portal pages - Reaper's own servers never see or store your card details. Prices, included features, and availability can change going forward; canceling stops the subscription's next renewal but doesn't retroactively refund the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.

7. No Warranty

Reaper and its dashboards are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. There's no guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times - this extends to the third-party services Reaper depends on (Discord, Stripe, and the AI/translation providers behind the optional AI chat and translator features), which are outside Reaper's control.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reaper's operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
